These are from the new "Bushland" series I've been working on. I put these two in the "Near and Far" exhibition we had at Studio 48 and the top one was sold and Sandra has kept other one at the gallery.
I do a lot of the base collage and texture work before any paint goes on - then flow in repeated washes to keep the "glow" of light filtering through the trees. I always feel most of the painting is done before the paint actually goes on!
