My bedside drawer seems to accumulate more each day; the book collection, a diary that's rarely written, a calculator (no idea why?), tape measure with good intentions of weight loss, hand cream, bookmarks and, strangely, a handkerchief with a map of the Tokyo subway system. I don't know anyone who has been on the Tokyo subway and have no idea where it came from but I've had it for years.
