Taronga Zoo was the perfect setting for a concert. We picnicked on the grass, danced to the music of ABBA, watched the ferries go back and forth in the harbour and the sun set behind the Harbour Bridge.

Staying the weekend at Q-Station Resort was another great experience. It was originally the Quarantine Station where people were accommodated for when the had to be quarantined before entering Australia. There were tours about its past, ghost tours (it's supposed to be the most haunted place in Australia!), a museum and restaurant on the little private beach where we spent a lazy afternoon.
We met one woman who had once been in quarantine when she came in from Venezuela with a small child who had not had Yellow Fever innoculations.

Bandicoots were scampering around in the evening and one very cheeky possum tried to come through the door of our suite. We then discovered he had been helping himself to the cupcakes that we'd left on the outside table. Our Kookaburra visitor came right up to Brian and took a biscuit out of his hand.

We have a possum who stays close by in the woods...and comes in the yard after dark. He's never gotten in my bird feeder which is on my deck...thank goodness. If I went out my kitchen and saw that possum there, I don't know who would be shocked more...me or him! One night, I took my little dachshund out to walk before going to bed...and we scared him. He didn't have time to get out the fenced in yard...so he climbed a tree right off the deck. A very nice drawing!!!
